Worship after the music ends

There is room for worship in an ordinary Tuesday.

Singing together is one way Christians worship. So are prayer, reading Scripture, gathering at church, and giving thanks. Worship also shapes what happens when we leave a service.

In Romans 12, Paul connects offering our lives to God with very practical things: using our gifts, caring for others, practising hospitality, and living peaceably where we can.

Try beginning a familiar task with a short prayer. Before work: “Help me be fair.” Before a conversation: “Help me listen.” Before a meal: “Thank you for what we have; help us share it.”

This is not about making every moment feel spiritual. It is about letting faith reach the life you already have. Some days that will look like showing up, telling the truth, or doing a small job with care.
